Official Language

The official language of Hellenic Mediterranean University is Greek, which is also the official language of the state and one of the 23 official languages ​​of the European Union.

Undergraduate Studies Programs

Teaching and examinations in all Undergraduate Studies Programs courses are conducted in the Greek language. Textbooks, other educational materials and other primary texts distributed to students are in the Greek language. Foreign students admitted to Hellenic Mediterranean University as foreigners have the opportunity to attend Greek language courses free of charge in order to better respond to their studies at the institution. This opportunity is also offered to students who study in Greece for one or two semesters through European exchange programs, such as ERASMUS+, etc.

Postgraduate Studies (MSc) and Doctoral Studies Programs

The language of access to knowledge and the working language of the MSc programs leading to the acquisition of a Master’s Degree or a Doctoral Degree is Greek, unless the internal regulations of the MSc program provide for the use of another language. The writing of the diploma thesis or doctoral dissertation may be done in Greek or in another language, depending on what is provided for by the Internal Regulations of the MSc program or the Internal Regulations of doctoral studies. Knowledge of foreign languages ​​by candidates for admission to an MSc program of the Hellenic Mediterranean University is either mandatory or optional, depending on the program.

International Relations

English is the language of communication with the international community and the second language in which information concerning the institution appears. It is usually used in most international conferences, workshops and scientific meetings organized by Hellenic Mediterranean University.
